CONVO — Initiative for Transient Workers Count ToO
CONVO is a design-driven initiative aimed at improving migrant workers' English conversational skills through immersive cultural engagement. Developed for TWC2, this speculative campaign integrates Singaporean colloquialisms, everyday interactions, and community sports—specifically cricket—to create a multi-sensory learning experience. This project bridges language, identity, and community, reframing English learning as a shared, lived experience rather than a structured lesson.

scope productionS — Reviving a Dying Dialect Amongst the Younger Generation
As younger generations lose touch with their dialects, the cultural divide between them and their elders continues to grow. Hokkien is more than just a language—it carries stories, traditions, and identity. Yet, it is often perceived as outdated or irrelevant in contemporary society.
This project seeks to redefine Hokkien through bold and unconventional storytelling. By producing short films that explore taboo and overlooked narratives, it challenges traditional perspectives and sparks meaningful dialogue. Beyond film, the project engages youths through Hokkien acting workshop enrolment packaging and an interactive card game, transforming language learning into an immersive and thought-provoking experience.
By modernising Hokkien in a way that resonates with today’s generation, this project aims to keep its cultural essence alive —one story at a time.
Fractions of Infinity — Fostering social inclusivity for the hard of hearing
This initiative reimagines social inclusivity by immersing the public in the experiences of the hard-of-hearing community. Through a multi-sensory exhibition, visitors navigate everyday scenarios with noise-cancelling headphones, confronting the isolation caused by communication barriers.
Interactive stations include a stencil art space where visitors create artworks using stencils generated from voice recordings of words like harmony, respect, love, and balance—transforming speech into a visual expression of shared values. A take-home Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) intro kit further extends the experience beyond the exhibition.
The name Fractions of Infinity (1/∞) represents the limitless possibilities for change. Each small effort—each conversation, lesson, and act of empathy—adds up to something greater. This initiative is more than awareness; it is an invitation to act—to learn their form of communication, to design with inclusivity in mind, and to listen, even without sound.
